http://wavelet.asia/customer-portal/?p=7721
There are many reasons why your trial balance may not balance, read the instructions below to check why your Trial Balance may not be balanced.

1) ACCOUNTING -> CONFIGURATIONS -> SET OPENING BALANCE
When you click on "Set Opening Balance" and if there are transactions recorded in the system dated before the Financial Year / Financial Period, your Trial Balance will not tally.
To fix the problem, identify the list of Journal Transactions listed in this screen, to find out whether these transactions are dated wrongly, or whether the transactions are created before the opening dates for Opening Account Receivable / Payable reasons. If the transactions were created before the first financial year for the Account Receivable / Payable opening reasons, then you can safely click on "Yes remove the transactions below" button to clean up.

2) ACCOUNTING -> MONTH END PROCESSING
When you perform the MONTH END PROCESSING, the system will update the Profit and Lost statement, this will ensure all revenue and expenses are up to date.

3) ACCOUNTING -> ERROR CHECKING -> CHECK BALANCE
When you click on the check balance link, the system will perform a check on every Journal Transaction, to see if there are problematic ones that is not balanced. You can click to View the Journal Transaction, and edit accordingly.

4) TRIAL BALANCE FOR SECOND YEAR AND BEYOND
If you are generating Trial Balance for 2nd year and beyond, please ensure you have created a Journal Transaction on the last day of the previous financial year, to transfer the "Profit and Lost" into "Reserve" (Reserves is a General Ledger that you create, categorize it under Equity).
