MIGRATED TO http://wavelet.asia/customer-portal/2011/03/29/sales-return/ Sales Return is used when customers come back to return goods or services. In order to control the return price, Wavelet EMP dictates the person performing the sales return to refer to the invoice or cashsale number. This is because the goods may have been sold at a discount, but when returning, if there's no such control, the company could make a loss for exchanging goods or refunding customer with cash higher than what the customers originally paid for. Normally, most retail branches accept cash terms only, and no customer accounts are used for each of the sales done. When sales return in being done, customers should product the original invoice or cash bill, and if they fail to do so, sales return should not be allowed because it may be abused. For exceptional cases where sales return is allowed without a cash bill being produced, follow the steps below: SCENARIO 1: CUSTOMER RETURN DEFECTIVE GOODS IN EXCHANGE FOR THE SAME PRODUCT (SAME ITEM CODE THAT IS NON-SERIALIZED)
SCENARIO 2: CUSTOMER RETURN DEFECTIVE GOODS IN EXCHANGE FOR ANOTHER PRODUCT WITH SAME VALUE (DIFFERENT ITEM CODE or SAME ITEM CODE THAT IS SERIALIZED).* You can skip step 1 to step 3 if
you have the cash bill or invoice number
| SCENARIO 3: CUSTOMER RETURN DEFECTIVE GOODS, AND TAKE SOMETHING OF THE BIGGER/HIGHER VALUE* You can skip step 1 to step 3 if you have the cash bill or invoice number
