MIGRATED TO http://wavelet.asia/customer-portal/2011/03/22/tie-customer-type-to-pricing-scheme/

In some business environment, a company let say company A may want to group their customer into certain type and apply different pricing for these different customer type. So when they create invoice or cash sales for different customer, the price will be auto tied to the different pricing which has been set.

For example, a medical equipment supplier has different pricing for their product which are Public, Clinic, RetailerWHS, NursingHome and Hospital. They have group their customer into 5 types based on bussiness nature and tie them to the different pricing. (Customer type can be relevent OR unrelevent to pricing scheme. In this case, they are relevent.) When they create invoice or cash sales for customer, the price will be auto tied to the pricing scheme which has been set.

To achieve the objective, you will need to do generally 3 thing.
- Create 2 things - Different pricing scheme and different customer type.
- Tie the customer type to certain pricing scheme. (Customer type can be relevent OR unrelevent to pricing scheme.)
