- Work Order is normally used in manufacturing industry. The products that are going to be sold need to be transformed from raw materials to finished goods.
- Usually not much of the finished goods are store in Inventory, the products are only being processed when they are demanded.
- To create a Work Order, user can either select a Sales Order or a BOM Item Code.
- Click 'Search SO' to look for an created sales order.
- Select a Sales Order to be added in the Work Order. If the Sales Order had been added into an Work Order, the 'Select' option under the Action field will not appear.
- 'Search Package' is used when users want to manufacture products without a Sales Order.
- Enter the Item Code to look for the BOM. Click here to learn how to create BOM.
- Click 'Select' under Action field to choose an item.
- When a Sales Order is selected, the BOM Item Code will be entered automatically.
- Enter the Production Quantity. Please note that the Production Quantity should not be more than the Quantity Ordered.
- Select a Location and Priority level.
- The Start Date field cannot be edited, it will change according to the Due Date and Lead Time entered.
- Enter the Productions Notes and Comments if there is any.
- Click 'Submit' to save the Work Order.
