Test run on Inventory and Trading Module

  1. Create Goods Received Note (GRN)

  2. Observes the Inventory balance and various other stock reports

  3. Create Invoice and  Cashsale at Trading Module

  4. Do settlement at Customer/Trading module

  5. Create a deposit, then Invoice, and use the Open Deposit to knock off this invoice

  6. Create Sales Return, Purchase Return, and use the Credit Memo created automatically to knock off other documents.

  7. Create customer credit memo (both debit note and credit note), if it is a credit note, try to use this to knock off one of the outstanding invoices, or try to make a payment voucher to settle this credit note. If it is a debit note, you can knock this off with settlement (collection from customers).

  8. Create a supplier credit memo (both debit note and credit note), if it is a credit note, you can make payments to knock it off. If it is a debit note, you can use it to knock off other outstanding documents (supplier invoices or credit note) inside the supplier module.

Dry run on Finance and Accounting module

As finance and accounting module is tightly integrated with the rest of the modules in the system, it is absolutely important to understand how all the modules are connected to each other.

 

To ensure smooth running of the company, the account department must be familiar with the following tasks:

 

  1. Create payment vouchers to knock off supplier invoices and supplier credit notes.

  2. Create payment vouchers to knock off customer credit notes

  3. Create payment vouchers to pay for fixed assets and other expenses

  4. Able to do Bank Reconciliation

  5. Knowing the difference between Cash Transfer, Cash Transfer by Transactions, Cheque Processing, PD Cheque Processing, observe the cash book transactions and bank reconciliation as a result of these can transfers.

Opening Stock

For non-serialized stock, it is possible to transfer directly from one system the Wavelet EMP. For serialized stock, users are required to enter them into Wavelet using Goods Received Note. User could create a pseudo supplier called "Opening Stock Supplier".

Account Receivable Opening Balance

Users can create Opening Balances of individual customers at CUSTOMER->OPENING BALANCE.

8.

Account Payable Opening Balance

All supplier opening balance is created with Credit Memo (Credit Note). Users could create these credit notes based on the actual supplier invoice date.

Cash book Opening Balance

Cash books opening balances can be set using FINANCE->CASH BOOK->ADJUSTMENT

10.

Accounting Module General Ledger Opening Balance

GL Opening Balance could be configured at ACCOUNTING -> CONFIGURATIONS -> SET OPENING BALANCE

 

Please take note that the Opening Balance Specified In the SET OPENING BALANCE function for accReceivable, accPayable, inventory, and the GL Codes used in various cash books should match the "Outstanding Customer Balance", "Outstanding Supplier Balance" and Cash Levels respectively.
